Assistantships/Fellowships
Graduate assistantships/fellowships are available to qualified* students on a competitive basis and are administered through the Department of Agricultural Education and Communication. Assistantships/fellowships are awarded depending on the available funding each year and are focused in the areas of teaching, research and/or extension.
If you are interested in departmental assistantship/fellowship funding, create one pdf document with your application and essay. Attach that pdf document to your online UF admissions application via the Additional Questions page in the Special Programs Application section of the application. You must select the Assistantship and/or Fellowship check boxes to upload the application as supporting documentation. The link to the funding application and information about what should be included in the funding essay is here. Note that this funding essay is separate from the Statement of Purpose. You may use the same recommenders for the funding application as you use for the admissions application.
If you are interested in assistantship/fellowship funding, your application materials should be submitted by the first application review date to be most competitive for available funds.
