Shane White is an Instructional Assistant Professor of Agricultural and Natural Resource Communication in the College of Agricultural & Life Sciences at the University of Florida, Plant City. With a background in multimedia storytelling and a passion for visual communication, Shane's work seeks to bridge the gap between academic research and creative practice.

Shane earned his BA from the University of Arkansas in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Horticulture in 2018. He earned his MA in Documentary Filmmaking in 2021 and his Ph.D. in Agricultural Communications in 2024, both from the University of Arkansas,.His dissertation, titled "The Water That Will Be: A Qualitative Analysis of How Art Can Be Used to Increase Engagement and Participation in Water Conservation Initiatives," explored how using visual imagery and storytelling can inspire behavioral change in agricultural and conservation practices.

Before joining the University of Florida, Shane served as a Visual Media Specialist at the University of Arkansas, where he led video production and photography projects that highlighted stories of all kinds. He has also taught courses in multimedia journalism, digital media production, and agricultural video production, focusing on creating engaging and innovative learning environments.

Shane also owns Live Deliciously Productions and has produced award-winning documentaries and narrative films that have been recognized at festivals around the world. His work includes "Beautiful People: The Past, Present, and Future of the Fashion Industry's Thin Ideal," and "Keepers of the Horse," which delve into the complexities of societal ideals and cultural heritage through powerful visual storytelling.
