Obtain a wealth of experience in your field and meet students with similar career goals by joining one of our department's four student clubs. Both undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to get involved in student organizations.
Agricultural Education and Communication Graduate Student Association
The Agricultural Education and Communication Graduate Student Association (AECGSA)is the department organization for graduate students. They are actively involved in community service projects and frequently host socials for the department.
Collegiate FFA / Agricultural Education and Communication Society
CFFA / AECS provides opportunities for students to improve their understanding of problems and issues in agricultural education, extension, leadership and communication. The club also maintains close contact with professionals in the field. The annual program of activities includes many social, recreational, and professional development events, including working with local FFA chapters and assisting at the state and national FFA conventions.
Agricultural Communicators and Leaders of Tomorrow
Agricultural Communicators and Leaders of Tomorrow (ACLT) is designed for college students who have a professional interest in the fields of communication and leadership related to agriculture. The national and local organizations provide students with a broad network of professional contacts. ACLT travels to professional agricultural communicators across the state, sponsors contests and conducts professional development seminars.
Alpha Tau Alpha
Alpha Tau Alpha is a national honor society for students in the Department of Agricultural Education and Communication. Undergraduate students meeting a 3.0 GPA and graduate students meeting a 3.5 GPA are nominated for induction into ATA every April.
