Seven students from the Gainesville campus completed a 14-week student teaching internship during the Spring 2015 semester. The students completed this internship experience at middle and high school agricultural education programs around the state. During this experiences, students planned and taught classes, advised FFA events, and interacted with parents and other school officials all under the direct supervision of a certified agriculture teacher in the school who served as the intern's cooperating teacher. Agriculture teacher education faculty from the department served as the university supervisor for each student. The university faculty observed each intern at least three times during the internship and reviewed weekly reflection/summary reports each week. The student teaching internship is the capstone experience for student in the AEC-TCH specialization.
