Graduate Certificates in AEC
Graduate certificates are available in AEC for those pursuing graduate degrees and non-degree seeking students who are pursuing professional development. Three courses are required in each certificate area, with specific requirements outlined below.
Teaching and Learning in Agricultural and Life Sciences
Designed to assist individuals in agriculture and natural resources improve teaching skills in, formal, nonformal, and informal settings. Specifically the topics to be addressed include theories, principles, and practices associated with effective instruction in a variety of educational programming settings.
AEC 6543: Teaching and Learning Theory: Applications in Agricultural Education and Communication
AEC 6210: Designing Educational Programs in Agricultural Settings
AEC 6211: Delivering Educational Programs in Agricultural Settings
Leadership in Agriculture & Natural Resources
Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of leadership through theoretical development and application (praxis) in agriculture and natural resource settings. Promotion of leadership in organizational and community settings with an emphasis on teamwork, conflict management and personality.
