Dr. James “J.C.” Bunch joined the Department of Agricultural Education and Communication (AEC) in 2017. Originally from Fletcher, OK, Bunch is a three-time graduate of Oklahoma State University, studying agricultural education (2002, 2004, 2012).

In addition to the classes he teaches for students specializing in agricultural education, Bunch co-leads a study abroad trip to Panama with Ms. Becky Raulerson. Together, they develop an immersive cultural experience for students interested in learning about agricultural issues in a foreign country.

Bunch advises Collegiate FFA at the University of Florida. Bunch’s area of scholarly inquiry focuses on educational program development. Specifically, he has focused his research efforts on pedagogical practices and curriculum/program development among professional educators in agricultural education (e.g., school-based agriscience teachers, state and county faculty, and international faculty).
